Brief:
The museum was established in 1972 in the spirit of reconciliation, unity
and harmony among the various ethnic groups in Nigeria. The new building
of this National Unity Museum now accommodates several exhibition halls
with cultural materials on the belief systems of the diverse Nigerian
peoples and the Igbo worldview, as well as a gallery on the history of
Enugu, the coal-city.
