Brief:
The Museum was established in 1957 as Museum of Nigerian Antiquities,
Traditional Art and Ethnography. It was the headquarters of the Federal
Department of Antiquities and her successor, the National Commission for
Museums and Monuments, and has the largest museum contents in Nigeria.
